Painting

After the 17th-century, Dutch painters were fascinated by tulips. This also is visible in this wonderful painting of white tulips by Evert Moll. The painting is in an impressionistic style. The background is in darker tones and the tulips in soft green and white colours. The painting is signed under the name ‘Evert Moll’ in the lower left corner. This painting comes with a hand painted 20th century frame.

 

Painter

Evert Moll was a highly respected art painter in the Netherlands. Evert Moll mostly painted landscapes, river, sea, harbour and village landscapes and in his latest years also may still lives and flower paintings. Evert Moll has painted over thousand paintings, and most of his paintings were exhibited in several museums. Evert Moll is included in the National Art History Documentation Center (RKD) in The Hague, Netherlands. He is also mentioned in the ‘Lexicon Dutch Visual Artists 1750 – 1950’by Pieter A. Scheen.
