In the century this painting is made, it was common to paint English racing horses, the one better than the other. This is a very valuable version of one. Probably the winner of an international race. In the background, the French flag is waving. The jockey is dressed in bright yellow and red colours. The painting is in a  20th century impressionistic style with a hint of romanticism.The painting is signed in the upper left corner with the name ‘Fritz Royale’. (+frame)
